Huge news broke out today regarding the potential director for the God Of War movie, and the related name so happens to be Brett Ratner of Rush Hour fame and X-Men : The Last Stand 'un-fame'. According to a press conference done in conjunction with Ratner's new company (Brett Ratner Brands), Ratner will probably work on an adaptation for God Of War because his interests lie more in video game movies now. "He also mentioned that he might be working on a movie adaptation of the video game "God of War."  

Personally, I doubt this news will settle well with us fans of the game, and my opinion is that Ratner will turn an epic into an epic disaster of biblical proportions. It'll turn out being a PG-13 kid-flick that does no justice whatsoever to Kratos and his sheer brutality. God Of War has the potential to turn into a huge trilogy, one that stands tall beside the likes of The Lord Of The Rings. Give it to Ratner and we'll have a campy movie with unwanted humor and a sexy sidekick girlfriend...the Oracle maybe? Given the choice, my picks would be Gavin Hood (the man loves Greek mythos), Christopher Nolan (because Batman kicks ass), Ridley Scott, or dare I even say...Steven Spielberg? As for actors, I have yet to see someone who'll be able to play Kratos with perfection. Call me cliché', but Gerard Butler would be a f**kin' awesome Kratos, in my opinion. 

End Point : God Of War + Brett Ratner = Perfect suicide for Kratos, more effective than jumping off a cliff even!
